Rodeway Inn & Suites Port Arthur - Groves

The place smelled of mold with bleach used to cover it up. There’s no pool. They advertise a coffee and tea pot, blow dryer, toiletries, satellite TV, and WiFi, but my room had only a bar of soap, two towels, and a washcloth. No coffee pot, blow dryer, iron, or satellite TV. The fridge barely worked. The microwave gets a B from me and the A/C gets an A. They also say they have vending machines, but they were nearly empty. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Our first night, there was no lock on the door. The WiFi never worked, even though we asked the front desk many times. They seemed not to understand what we meant and kept acting as if they had no idea what we were talking about. There was also a hole in the wall. It was an uncomfortable, unpleasant stay and far too expensive for such a stressful experience. The cleaning ladies were the only two people who stayed friendly and helpful.

I used to stay here before Harvey hit, and it was much better then. Now the rooms smell of mildew, the sheets are stained, and the bathroom door hits the toilet before it can open all the way. I had so many problems, including never being able to reach them by phone. I won’t grace this Hotel with my presence again. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

The outside looks nice, but inside it smells and is dirty. There were no toiletries or coffee, and the A.C. didn’t work. Check the sheets before going to bed. Even the shower wasn’t sanitary, and there were live roaches in the hallway. This hotel isn’t worth any price. Do not enter.
