Hospitality Inn

We needed to be near Doernbecher for our little guy's surgery, and it was good to have somewhere close by to stay. The staff were welcoming from the moment I came in, very accommodating to both of us, and moved us from a planned third-floor room to the first floor when I asked. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, and the price was wonderful. There was also an awesome pizza parlor right next door, just what our little guy wanted for dinner.

My truck was broken into in the parking lot at the start of the trip. The camera apparently stops working around 4 or 5pm, so there was no footage. The whole third floor also had a profuse smell of mildew or rotten Indian food. I opened the windows to try to air out my room, but the fan didn't work. I checked out that night because of the horrible smell and fear my truck would be broken into again. I didn't sleep there. The front desk guy assured me Esmerelda would refund me. The next day, Esmerelda called back and said I could get a partial refund because she didn't think the room smelled bad. Now I'm waiting for someone with the authority to refund $135, since Esmerelda refused to give me a full refund.

The building is older and hasn't been updated, but that didn't bother me while I was asleep. We were just across from the elevator and, surprisingly, I never heard the hallway or the rest of the building. There were a few cleaning details missed in our room, though nothing serious enough to change rooms. The man at the front desk checked us in quickly and efficiently despite not being able to use one arm, and he was friendly and thoughtful throughout. This was a much less expensive one-night stay for the area, with McDonalds, Starbucks, and Round Table Pizza nearby. If you're looking for a cheaper option, it could work well.

The room smelled awful, and after I got home I had to wash everything to get the disgusting odor out. The bedspread and pillowcases were stained, and the sheets were so worn they were nearly see-through. I was glad I'd brought my own bedding. The staff were incredibly rude, and the whole hotel felt old and gross. I would never stay there again.
