We got a good price, especially with the dog, and would stay again. The large lobby was clean and inviting, with a fireplace, and our room was clean too. The front desk attendant was nice and put us on the main floor near an exit for the dog. There was a great restaurant attached to the lobby. A few things need attention: the bathroom fan didn't work, the sink drained slowly and dripped easily, the toilet needed two flushes, and the bathroom could use some maintenance. There weren't enough outlets for phone chargers, and the fridge was so noisy that we had to unplug it to sleep.

We had a great check-in and service, and the adjoining restaurant was excellent. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the bathroom was neglected. The toilet seat was barely attached, and the shower drained slowly because it was plugged, which felt gross. After a long day of travel, finding no hot water at 10 pm was disappointing.

Breakfast had a tasty, varied selection, and the water came out hot with strong pressure. The hotel is old, and it shows in the room: there were hardly any outlets, the mattress was soft, and the sheets felt rough. The staff weren't very helpful.

The desk clerk was fantastic. After I found that my first room hadn't been made up, she got me another room, brought the key over, and offered to help move my things. That's why I gave four stars instead of five: the rooms aren't very updated. They were clean and comfortable, though, and the pillows were great. My room had a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Breakfast ran from 6:30 to 9:30 and was good, pretty typical continental fare. All in all, a pleasant stay.

It was quiet, with no noise from above, and we felt safe outside. Home Depot was an easy two-minute walk away. The stay was better than most, though the coffee pod had been left in the machine and the tissue box was empty, so I had to ask the front desk for Kleenex. We ate at the attached steakhouse; the prime rib was so chewy we couldn't eat it. I'm sure the steak was better.
