Comfort Suites Raleigh Walnut Creek

The rooms were really good, and the couch that folds out into a bed was comfortable. I liked the view and the area around the hotel too. The other beds in the second room were comfortable, though the material wasn’t really my thing. There were stains on the main mattress, so be sure to put something over it. Breakfast was a nice extra. My mom booked the hotel because we love pools and vacations, and we thought it would be fun. But the pool had been shut down by an environmental service, which made it seem like it hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the hotel hadn’t announced the closure. Also, when my stepfather went down for forks and spoons, a woman on staff who was Indian spoke to him in an aggressive or sassy way. That was horrible.

The room was a good size and clean, and there are Walmart, Target, and places to eat close by. Breakfast was offered, but I couldn't get any. I went down a few times between 6 and 7 a.m., and the setup wasn't ready. It seems they may start serving at 7 or later. My window also looked out toward the woods, where there were homeless tents. Just a warning to be careful at the nearby Walmart.

We like Comfort Suites, but we won't be coming back to this property. The public spaces looked nice, but our room needed repairs. The mirror was missing, the shower had a poor repair, and there seemed to be black mold in several places, as shown in the pictures.

We were happy with the price and would stay here again if we were in the area. The hotel is dated, with worn carpet, but the bathroom was clean enough and adequate. It's in town, though there's nowhere special to walk to for restaurants or entertainment, so you'll need to drive. We were here for one work night during the week and didn't use room service, so I can't comment on that. It was quiet, and the other guests seemed to be contractors there for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was standard continental fare: eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, muffins, yogurt, and juice. No complaints.
