Hampton Inn & Suites Raleigh Midtown

We were in town for an NC State game, and everything about our stay was fantastic. The highway was easy to get to, so the location was really convenient. We arrived late and the overnight front desk staff welcomed us warmly. When the AC gave us trouble, maintenance came right up and fixed it quickly and efficiently. The service stood out, and we'll definitely stay here again.

What really set this place apart was the service. I left my boots in our room and didn't realize until we'd gotten home. Diego Armond at the hotel explained what was needed to send them back and helped us through it. Huge thanks to him for making what could've been frustrating easy to handle. We were in the area for OKGO at The Ritz, just down the road, and found Melting Pot and other restaurants and shops within walking distance, with a Wegman's across the street. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the nightly price was reasonable. We weren't expecting much from breakfast, but the food was delicious and there was a good variety. A delightful stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone staying nearby.

December 26-28, 2025: My wife and I enjoyed the room service, food, and most of the atmosphere at this Raleigh Hampton Inn. The TV in the dining area showing FOX NEWS was the exception. I think public spaces should steer clear of opinion and editorial coverage. People often avoid religion and politics to prevent arguments, and the current political climate feels toxic. A local channel for weather and local facts would be better. FOX News reported claims of 2020 election fraud and that Dominion voting machines were fixed. Dominion sued FOX for defamation and won $787 million. We often travel and Hampton Inns are our go-to lodging. The locations off the highway are good, holiday decorations are nice, cleaning and breakfast are good, and breakfast is quick. Ice machines usually work, and our kids and now grandkids love the pools at locations that have them. Otherwise, I highly recommend Hampton Inns. A little history: an inn is a rural home or building that offers travelers a room and food overnight. A hotel is a larger building with rooms to rent, and may have a pool, exercise room, restaurant, or conference room. A motel is usually along a highway, with rooms accessed from the parking lot and few extras. Hampton Inn was founded in Memphis, TN in 1984. Conrad Hilton entered the hotel business in 1919, and Hilton bought Hampton in 1999. Today Hampton Inn has 266,933 rooms and is in 30 countries.

The rooms were clean, and I appreciated the free water bottles and grab-and-go breakfast. The front desk staff made the experience feel personal and welcoming. I'm very impressed.
