I can't speak to the service now, but this place hasn't changed much in appearance, for better or worse. My family and I first stayed at the Shasta Lodge when we came to Redding in 1994. We were there for about a month, and I was 12. I used to wander around Downtown Redding looking for friends and things to do. I don't remember having any complaints. I don't live in Redding anymore, and seeing the place brings back a lot of good memories.

The office has a nasty smell, so don't let that put you off. The rooms are spacious, with a cool 70s feel, and the price was good. Having a fridge, microwave, and cable in our room was nice. The pool wasn't available, which would've been good, but it wasn't a big deal. Bring your own shampoo and soap. Otherwise, we liked it and would stay again.

Such a cozy little lodge, like stepping back into an old American movie. It's got a great feel and presence, and was extremely clean. Even the little soap bars were cute. The price was great, and the microwave and fridge are tucked into an antique drawer cabinet. We stumbled on this hidden gem by accident and were so happy we did.

The owner was welcoming and friendly, and my room was clean, tidy, and had what I needed. I was glad there was a mini fridge I could stock and a microwave. I don't always want fast food when I'm traveling, so it was nice to pick up proper food at a local grocery store and bring it back. Thanks, I'll stay again next time I'm in town.

The owners and staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. We stayed several nights and would recommend giving Shasta Lodge a try. Our bed was more comfortable than beds at plenty of higher priced motels and hotels, and for the room and price we had no complaints. The high-speed Wi-Fi worked perfectly wherever I stood, which was a huge bonus. The pool is out of service, but we still had a good stay. Thanks for being kind and helpful.
