This place was horrible. The room smelled like human feces, and they wanted a $50 deposit. Honestly, after staying there, I felt they should’ve paid me a deposit. There was no cold water at all, so we couldn’t shower, and the toilet was completely clogged. The maintenance man was rude as hell, and so was the front desk person. Total waste of money. I’ll never go back and recommend nobody stay here. Definitely boycott it if you don’t want to lose your money. Disgusting hotel, disgusting people!!!!!!!

We arrived at Hometown Studios at the end of March and have been here for three weeks. The room is okay, though there are little things they could have fixed: dirt around the light fixtures, paint splattered all over the microwave, and what looked like 20 years of grease under the fridge. Apart from that, it was clean. I didn’t use housekeeping and kept my room clean myself. Things were fine until someone who wasn’t paying to stay here, but was visiting someone else, took my personal property from a bench. Police told me they couldn’t identify the suspects, so there was nothing they could do at the time. The next morning, my husband got up for work and tried our door around 6 AM, but the key wouldn’t work. I pay by the week and was paid through Saturday morning at 11 AM, so my room key shouldn’t have been deactivated. The door battery had just been changed, too. I went to the front desk to get the keys fixed. The manager told me I wasn’t allowed to call the police again about anyone taking something from my room, and that if I did, my family and I couldn’t stay at the hotel. It’s unprofessional to make a paying guest feel unsafe in a place where we’re staying long term and paying $2020 total a month. The officers reviewed their camera and knew the two young men committed the offense, but the hotel still did nothing to them. Somehow I was wrong for calling the police. I’m a mother of two little girls, and it’s hard to accept being told that calling for help could leave us without a place to stay. I’ll never stay at another red roof Hometown Studios. Everyone should know that crime is tolerated here, and they don’t care who takes what as long as it isn’t taken from your room. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

The room was decent, but finding bugs was crazy. I worked nights, and every morning when I came in, the hallway smelled like weed and mold. Housekeeping was the best part. Without them, this place wouldn’t have earned a star. They should be working at a 5 star hotel.

I booked a two-night reservation this past weekend, but the rude front desk agent, Nick, turned me away because of my service animal. He said they couldn’t take my pet at the HomeTowne Studio suites, though I could stay in the other building. Online it says ESA & Service animals are welcome at all Red Roof properties with no additional charge. Nick was extremely unprofessional, rude, and nonchalant. I asked why the website said service pets were welcome at every location, but I was told otherwise at check-in, and why one building accepts them while the other doesn’t. Being denied service because of a service animal is against the law, and Nick should lose his job for discrimination. After reading the earlier reviews, I’m actually glad I didn’t stay. This location has multiple pest problems, unreliable housekeeping, and is dirty. I’m definitely contacting corporate about the discrimination against my service animal.

The staff were rude, the rooms smelled weird and were uncomfortable, and the building is dated. There’s no elevator to the second floor.
