I think this is the first review I've ever written, which shows how impressed I am. The owners are really nice, and the rooms are big, clean, comfortable, and don't smell. The TVs have Roku, and the place is quiet, though you can hear highway traffic a little without it getting annoying. It's amazingly well kept for a place built in the 50s. There's also an awesome shop across the street. It's more than a donut shop, and the donuts are amazing.

I love being able to park right by the room and unload easily. Each room has a table and chairs, Wi-Fi, Roku TV, a microwave, fridge, and long dresser. Lea Ann is so welcoming and hospitable, and the motel is pet friendly. Family-run places like this take care of you in ways the big chains don't. I've stayed more than once, and the rooms are always spotless, roomy, and quiet. It's handy to I-70, but sits on the much quieter Route 40. In summer the window boxes bloom and roses grow out front, and you can use the AC or open a window for fresh air. In winter, if you book ahead, they leave a light and heat on, and clear snow from the large drive. There are good antique shops just up the road too.

The owners are very friendly, and it's easy to find, near the interstate. Parking is convenient. Rooms are simple, clean, and well kept, with internet, a fridge, and a microwave.

We walked the wooded grounds with our puppy each evening, and it was just right for her. We were lucky to get a room that allowed dogs. The room was roomy, neat, and clean, and the spot was beautiful and restful. The small downtown area, with several restaurants, was only a short drive away. I highly recommend The Golden Inn. From our window we could see "Today's Harvest " across the street. Two words: Delicious Donuts!!

After a long day of driving, this was just what we needed. The owners were lovely and helpful, and the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Such a great spot, highly recommend!
