Econo Lodge Rock Hill Northeast

The staff were friendly, but that was the only good part of our stay. My husband and I were in a king room for one night on February 13th, 2026. We had a terrible night's sleep after seeing several roaches, and kept the light on to discourage the bugs. The heater didn't work, the phone was dead, and the mini fridge rattled all night. The bed itself wasn't bad, but the walls were so thin we heard everything outside and next door. Looking around the room, we found dirt and dried spills on the floor, stains and other marks on the walls, black stuff near the ceiling, and a dirty sink counter. The fridge was gross, the dresser drawers were stained and disgusting, a nightstand drawer was broken, and the toilet paper holder kept pulling out of the wall. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

They couldn't find my reservation even after I showed proof, and I woke up to roaches crawling around. The location and ready-made waffle batter seemed to be the only things going for this place. Maybe they should lock the doors.

I had to stay in the room because money was tight, but this will be my last visit if they don't address the problems. The toilet needed two flushes, there was a roach in the bathroom, and the TV didn't work. The receptionist was nice, but said I'd have to wait until the next day for maintenance or the owner. I'd stayed at this location and others before, and usually problems were dealt with. Maybe because I booked with Choice points, they couldn't move me to another room, which was all I wanted. I was told that wasn't possible.

The rooms were really clean and updated. A clear speaking English person at the front desk would be nice, though. Otherwise, A1!!
