Spark by Hilton Rock Springs

We paid around $100 including taxes and fees for one night, and for the price, I left happy and well rested. It’s hard to find fair deals at hotels along I-80 now, and this is the best budget hotel we’ve found in Wyoming. The older building has been remodeled nicely, and it was clean. Staff were friendly throughout. Breakfast was good quality but limited, with little protein or gluten-free choice beyond boiled eggs. It was better than a Best Western, though not quite as nice as a Holiday Inn Express. The room had a mini fridge, while the microwave was shared. The clean, roomy bathroom had a nice shower and soaps and shampoos. Great fit for a family making a long drive across I-80.

After a family emergency, I left another hotel where things had turned into a nightmare and came to Spark expecting very little. The staff and cleanliness here were unbeatable, and they made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Every one of the staff members is someone I’d hire to work with me. Stay here, you won’t regret it.

The location is handy, close to restaurants, gas stations and a mall. Breakfast was the usual complimentary kind, nothing special. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Kathy at the front desk was especially helpful, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here, and I’d definitely return.

I was grateful to find a room available when I was worn out from traveling. Check-in at night was quick and easy, and the room was clean, comfortable, nice and felt safe.
