Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

The main issue was the room door. It wouldn't close properly unless pushed hard, there was no flip latch, and the turn lock wouldn't reach the strike plate. The smoke detector was missing, with a stir fry food box put in its place. When we raised the problems with the desk staff, the person acted as if this was normal. We were offered a different room, but couldn't get a clear answer about whether that one had a working lock. The room was very worn, had lots of missing bulbs, and one wall light had neither bulb nor shade. It had been left with the door propped open, though nobody was cleaning it. The hotel photos didn't look like this place at all. I don't recommend staying here. Spend the money somewhere safer.

My only complaint is that this motel doesn't have laundry facilities. I've never had any trouble with the rooms, and I really appreciate Hardick, the manager. He's willing to work with me and seems to genuinely care about my welfare.

The only good thing was that it was quiet at night. I waited 30 minutes to check in, then found a dark, moldy, nasty room with sticky carpet and cigarette holes in the sheets, despite having a non-smoking room. There were small flying gnats, and I later found the sink wouldn't drain and a trash can full of dirty water sat beneath it, which explained the insects. There was no coffee maker or drinking cups in the room, and the front desk had no coffee the next morning either. The surrounding area wasn't maintained, and the hotel needs to be closed. I don't have high standards, but this place was disgusting. Sleeping in my car would've been better.

The front desk was very friendly and tried to help, but this didn't feel like a healthy place to stay. The first room smelled of mold, had roaches on the wall under the window and in the bathroom behind the toilet, plus mold along the bed skirt and hair on the sheets. We asked for another room. Its bed was clean, the only clean thing there, but we couldn't manage the smell. It burned my throat, made me nauseous, and irritated my daughter's eyes. We left after an hour.
