There were holes in the walls and doors, and I wouldn’t even consider using the shower. The room was supposed to be nonsmoking but smelled like smoke, even though they’d told me it had just been remodeled. It was the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever been in.

I lived there for over two years. The rooms are dated, but it’s family run and they’re wonderful people. I cleaned my own room and washed my own linen. Don’t arrive expecting everything to meet your standards, or you may be disappointed. I’d bring cleaning supplies so you can clean things yourself if needed. If there’s a linen problem, they’ll bring fresh linen. As long as you stay nice and don’t get angry, they’ll work hard to help sort things out.

The manager was rude, and the room was so nasty I didn’t stay. I’d paid a month in advance and travelled from Oklahoma for my daughter’s wedding, but they refused to refund me. I changed clothes and did my hair and makeup in the car. During the 15 minutes I was in the room, I found no working light by the mirror and standing water in the bathtub. Awful experience.
