Larkspur Landing Extended Stay Suites Roseville

The location is very nice, but this didn’t feel family friendly. Kids were running up and down the stairs, and when I told management, they did nothing. People were smoking marijuana at the front door, and it felt like a circus. The staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing with bookings or setting up reservations. They need better management and training.

The extra $12 a day for parking was confusing. At check in we got a paper to put in the car, but when we left, plenty of cars didn’t have one visible. I couldn’t tell how the system was monitored, and it came across as an easy way to collect more money. Breakfast was also unclear from the website, which calls it continental in some places and grab and go in others. In reality, you fill out a paper form with your choices and leave it at the front desk. That may suit some guests, but the online description felt inconsistent and misleading. The room didn’t match the website photos, which showed a much cleaner, better maintained place. Right after checking in at Larkspur Landing Roseville, I saw stains and dark spots on the bedding, dirt under the bed, and general wear. The lampshade was stained and discolored, and the privacy drape had what looked very clearly like someone’s dried snot on it. I checked more closely after seeing that and found dried raisins between the mattress and box spring, plus a strange white powdery substance on the bottom of the TV and across the dresser. None of that should be in a room that’s been cleaned for a new guest.

The staff are easily the best part. Everyone is so sweet and friendly, and they make you feel at home. They’re always willing to accommodate what you need and really go above and beyond for guests.

The location was busy, and the TV was positioned so we couldn’t watch it from bed. We also learned that guests don’t all pay the same rate: we were charged $10 a day for parking, while the man checking out wasn’t charged. The free breakfast was bad. The fruit juice wasn’t actually fruit juice, there was no decaf coffee, and when we went to the desk for the food bag, they said there’d been a mix up. The morning sandwich was poor too, with processed meat.
