Capital City Inn Sacramento Convention Center CA

After watching “Ladybird,” I booked this motel with my grandbabies. It was trashy. There was only a hole in the floor where the toilet should have been, and I counted 47 bed bugs crawling in my bed. At checkout, the desk lady was making out with a customer while talking on the phone. I couldn't believe my eyes and covered my poor innocent grandbabies' eyes. Then one of those rats chewed off part of my youngest grandbaby's hair, leaving him with a bald spot. Ugh, he's only four. One star.

We came to town for a race when hotel prices across the city had shot up, and this place was about what you'd expect for the price. Check-in was easy, we slept at night, and we had what we needed. Still, there was chewed gum on the headboard, long hairs that weren't ours on the sheets and towels, and the walls were paper thin. The parking lot didn't feel very safe, with lots of people using drugs there.

I checked in on October 4 and left soon after because the room had cockroaches and felt unsanitary, while the street noise made it nearly impossible to rest. I was extremely disappointed. The front desk promised a full refund, but later I was told I'd only get one night's money back. Poor management and unacceptable hygiene. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cockroaches were crawling around the room when I got back from dinner, and street noise went on nonstop all night. I complained and the front desk said they'd give me a full refund. Now the hotel is only refunding one night. That's misleading and totally unprofessional. This place needs a cleanliness inspection.
