With my kids along, I had to stay, but otherwise I would've slept in the car. The room wasn't cleaned properly and had mold, stained sheets, torn upholstery, and traces of previous guests. There was a half-finished soda in the fridge, coins on the bathroom floor, and a dental floss pick on the carpet. The doors to the two rooms beside ours were left ajar all night. Creepy.

The staff were nice, but I won't stay here again. The room was very dirty, the furniture was broken, and the whole hotel smelled like smoke. The bed had no blankets, just a sheet and a thin coverlet.

My company made the reservation, I didn't choose this hotel. The place is complete chaos. I stayed four days, and nobody came in to clean the room once. The front desk and administration seemed careless, and I felt complaints were just ignored. I had bed bug bites, and the towels were extremely old and thin, like paper. I've stayed at many hotels, and Hotel 8 Dunbar west virginia is way, way better than this. If someone says you get what you pay for, well, I got bed bug bites. The license for this place should be revoked. Super 8 directives, come take a look without warning.

The family running the place did a good job, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There always seemed to be coffee available to warm up with. For what I paid, everything was better than I expected.

You could get so sick here that you'd be wondering whether it was COVID again, something deadly coming through the vents, spider bites, or worse. Don't settle for this, pay attention to the reviews. There's bacteria lingering in the rooms, and Legionnaires' disease is no joke. You'll leave and be sick within 24 hours.
