Best Western Plus San Antonio East Inn & Suites

The breakfast attendant was pushy, telling me which cup to use and that I couldn't take my plate out and return. She then mopped without putting up a warning sign, and I nearly slipped. Room service took an hour because it came from outside the building. The TV's Amazon Prime, Netflix, Paramount Plus, and other on-demand features didn't work. The bed wasn't very comfortable, and the spa tub room only had a queen bed. The tub itself was smaller than I expected, and water kept draining from it while it was running. The shower chair was stained and needed a serious scrub. When I asked for extra towels and toilet paper, they asked why, even though we'd run out of paper. The light outside was aimed straight at our window. The front desk man was kind and contacted the manager, who got it redirected, but hours later it had fallen back toward our room. With that glare and the freeway noise, it was hard to sleep. Finding the hotel was difficult too, since it's tucked under the freeway and I missed the sharp left three times. It's an outdated place, and I won't stay here again. I'm not sure I'd choose a Best Western again either. Very disappointing. Don't stay here.

The room felt clean, which matters a lot to my family and is something I check, especially since I'm a professional housekeeper. I noticed a few things, but overall I was pleased. The bed was really comfortable, and its extra height didn't bother us. Breakfast was pretty good, and the staff were friendly. We came for my son's nearby football game, decided to spend the night, and thought the price was decent. My only gripe was that there wasn't a coffee maker in the room, though you can request one.

The rooms were amazingly clean, and each one had a 50-inch Sony TV. Every employee I met was friendly and seemed to care about my stay and how other guests were treated. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We were traveling and needed a part to fix our trailer. The owner heard about it, went off, and came back minutes later with exactly what we needed. That kind of hospitality stood out. Our room was clean, breakfast was great, and the staff were involved and helpful. Thank you.
