Ranch Motel

Joey and his team really know how to make guests feel looked after. They even left a few surprise amenities in our room, which made the weekend special. The grounds feel like another world, Mérida meets Marfa. There's pickle ball, a pool, and excellent coffee from Blue Rodeo, plus walking trails and a short stroll to independent places like The Dispatch, Cullum’s Attaboy, and Richter Goods. A great choice in San Antonio if you're after an authentic boutique stay.

We loved the night office staff, who were friendly and attentive and made our stay much better. The landscaping was beautiful, and the place had a relaxed feel. We enjoyed the heated saltwater pool and the vinyl listening room, which is a lovely amenity. One morning front-of-house staff member seemed bothered by our presence, which didn't match the other staff reviews. Also, the third single bed was thin and squeaky, especially beside the bigger bed. I felt bad for our third guest having a less comfortable night. Still, it was a laid-back vacation stay.

We got a good rate on the standard room after plumbing problems with the room we'd originally booked. The property had a great atmosphere. It was a bit chilly, so we skipped the pool, though it looked inviting. We did spend a couple of hours at the poolside bar and liked the drink menu. Planning to return in summer.

My partner and I stay at Ranch Motel whenever I perform at Brenner’s Steakhouse on the Riverwalk, which is a few times each month. We always look forward to coming back. It's a beautiful place, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are consistently clean. And that HEATED POOL! We love it here.
