Motel 6 San Antonio, Tx - Frost Bank Center

The location is a good spot, and the service was outstanding. The rooms were really comfortable too. At these affordable prices, I'd recommend this place to anyone as a home away from home. Five stars for the rooms, service, and location.

The shower knob was broken and stuck on extremely hot, and we had to fiddle with it to get the water running. The door's bottom metal piece was peeled halfway back, leaving a gap for critters. There were dead roaches, a dirty floor, stained sheets that weren't really white, and towels with brownish spots. I also saw random bloody footprints along the room walkways. We bought our own towels and sheets to put over the bed, and I'd bring your own pillow or a pillow cover too. Don't sleep in their sheets. It's cheap, sure, but I didn't expect things to be this rough. If you're used to normal hotel standards, skip it. I hope nobody brings children here. It felt like a place for truckers needing one quick night.

I paid $71 for the room, but there was no shampoo or conditioner, the remote didn't work, and there was no ice bucket or microwave. I had to pay for towels, and there wasn't any coffee or wifi either. My son and I are both deaf, and I also had a service dog. This place was very poor, and I'm never coming back. I plan to call headquarters and the health department, and want my $71 refunded because the room didn't have towels and other basics.

We stayed for convenience because this hotel is close to the Frost Bank Center, but the room had a funky smell, a bit like cigarettes, even after we switched to a non-smoking room. There were dead roaches or bugs in random places, a broken mirror, a missing section of the restroom door, and chips and chunks missing here and there. I wouldn't shower without my crocs on because I couldn't tell what the stain was. The good parts were that the room cooled down a lot, which I liked for sleeping, and the water pressure was great for a quick shower. We paid 135 for 2 nights, 65 dollars each night. You get what you pay for, but if you can spend a little more somewhere else, I'd go for it. Hope this helps.
