Club Quarters Hotel in San Francisco

The staff were friendly and efficient, the coffee maker downstairs was a nice touch, and it's easy to get around from this location. Otherwise the stay was pleasant, but the mold in room 501 really concerned me. There was a lot of black mold in one corner, and I hope they deal with it quickly so future guests don't have to worry about getting sick. Our room was the only one on the fifth floor with a wall right against the elevator shaft. Every couple of minutes there was a sound like an airplane. I assume rooms ending in “01” on other floors might have the same problem.

The location is super convenient, tucked between Chinatown, Little Italy, and the Embarcadero. Staff were friendly and quick to help, and getting a major discount with Capital One travel points was a nice bonus. The room was comfortable and clean, and the stay was affordable for a pretty alright part of the city. The TV was a big frustration for my husband. It didn't work properly, even after hotel maintenance checked it, and we couldn't connect Google Chromecast. There was also an ugly bleach stain on the floor. They advertised free continental breakfast, but at the coffee station it was just fruit and granola bars. It felt like what they really wanted was for you to spend money at the restaurant next door. Rooftop access was lovely, day or night.

The rooms are small, but perfectly fine, and they get cleaned once a day. Nice place to stay in SF, with everything you need nearby in a safe part of the city. Breakfast is offered at a small restaurant right next to the hotel, and I'd recommend it.

Stephano was really nice and professional, and gave us great sightseeing recommendations. The location is great, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was awesome. I recommend the french toast. The hotel connects to a very nice bar with a great selection.
