DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco South Airport B

The hair dryer in our room kept changing power and started smoking twice. It was scary, like it might break or catch fire, so I'd strongly suggest checking the dryers. Housekeeping also needs to be much more thorough. We found a used dental floss pick and a necklace inside the sofa bed, and the floss was especially unhygienic. The room was comfortable, and the hotel is very close to the airport, which was convenient after my flight was canceled. The public spaces were excellent, with a restaurant, bar, and roomy lobby, and the airport shuttle was a big plus. Cleanliness is my top priority.

The hotel looks nice, and the bathroom was spacious with a good shower. But the fridge in our first room didn't work, and the temperature was stuck at 75F. We couldn't lower it even one degree after an hour, so we moved rooms. The next one was 77F, despite it being only in the high 50Fs outside that night. A fan we requested helped us sleep, but the wall thermostat was still at 77F the next morning. I stay at SFO Hotels two or three times a month. Never again here. I can't imagine what the rooms are like in summer.

The room was nice and clean, and the other front desk staff were kind and pleasant. But Shaqueta at the front desk was very rude. She wouldn't acknowledge you at all, not even a hi, bye, or have a good day, and had a really annoyed attitude.

The breakfast server on 01/30/26 was great, super quick and on top of everything. I wish I'd gotten her name. The AC wouldn't work, even after I tried restarting it and followed the exact instructions from the front desk. The only reason I'd stay again is that it's less than 10 minutes from SFO airport.
