The biggest problems were the very loud, continuous air-conditioning noise, which made sleeping extremely difficult, and an unpleasant checkout interaction. We asked to leave our small bags in the lobby while we went for breakfast after an early checkout. The staff member first agreed, then withdrew permission without a clear explanation. When we said we’d keep the bags in the room until the regular 11 a.m. checkout, she said checkout had already been processed. After a short, uncomfortable exchange, she reluctantly reopened the room until the proper checkout time. Her abrupt and discourteous manner left a bad impression. The location is excellent, and the room was acceptably clean with reasonably comfortable beds. Those positives were outweighed by the disruptive air conditioning and the way checkout was handled. I hope management addresses both issues for future guests.

Great spot for exploring San Francisco. The Hop on Hop off bus stop is half a block away, and Fisherman's warf is an easy 10-minute walk.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the area was great for walking. Kopiku Coffee across the street became part of my morning routine; it was some of the best coffee I’ve had. The road noise was loud, though, so plan for that. I had to sleep with headphones to drown it out. Service cost this place stars. The guy who checked us in was rude from the start. We’d driven from different states and asked if we could pay for parking an extra car. He said no, despite open spaces and no mention online when we booked that parking was limited. They even have double-deep spaces that fit two cars. I should’ve called ahead, but it didn’t occur to me until we arrived. They’d only give us another spot if we booked a whole additional room, which would’ve cost hundreds more than leaving the car in a garage. We even asked to leave it there just one night and move it the next day because it was already late. He basically laughed and told us to get lost. At 11 p.m., we had to drive around looking for a secure garage. Every time you drive in, someone comes out of the office and hassles you until you show your parking pass. They apparently don’t have enough spaces for every room and just hope not everyone needs one. If you check in late with a car, you might have nowhere to leave it, though there seemed to be plenty of spaces during our visit.

The rooms were tiny and filthy, and the air-conditioning units were incredibly loud. They only provided six half-size pillows for four people and wouldn’t give us extra ones. Reception staff were extremely rude. Since we arrived early, they wouldn’t store our luggage and told us to find a storage unit. They were also very rude to our children, wouldn’t let them use the coffee machine for hot chocolate, and told my husband to go away when he came to help our child. Do not stay here!
