We could check in straight away, with no wait, and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, with a nice view over the patio. The service was good, and the location felt safe enough to wait outside for a ride. There's a parking garage, though if I remember right, they only offer valet parking. It's a great spot for a night in San Francisco for an event or for a vacation, though it can get pricey. The California Horn-blower Cruises are within one to two miles. You can walk anywhere from here if you're up for it, or Uber/Lift is just a phone call away.

The staff were extremely friendly, and our room was clean, comfortable, and roomy. The bathroom was nicely stocked and pleasant, although the bathtub and shower combo looked a bit dated. Breakfast was included, which was unusual for this kind of hotel: just a small selection of pastries with coffee and tea near the lobby in the game room, but it was nice to have. Parking cost a lot, though it was comparable to other SF hotels and easier to get into than many. Great stay overall; I'd come back.

The front desk was very friendly, and the location was nice, but I barely slept. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear full conversations from neighboring rooms. The family above us woke us with laughing, talking, and giggling at 10:30 pm. We're on East Coast time and were already in bed. There were also loud, drunk people in the hallways at all hours, and I wish the front desk had done something to control it. They were very boisterous coming into the hotel, and I imagine they were just as loud inside. My ten-year-old son and I were woken three times the first night and twice the second, around 1-3 in the morning. I've stayed at a lot of Marriotts, and this was the worst. The San Fran noise didn't wake us, funny enough. The earplugs in the room seemed to be for how badly the hotel carries noise. The location is nice, but it's not worth losing sleep over. I'd gladly stay farther away for a good night's rest.

The Bay Area location was great for getting around, and the room was large. Staff were nice, too, but the noise was a real problem. We were in 246 beside the ice machine, which made odd sounds day and night, even when nobody was using it. Showers in the next room sounded like a plane taking off right beside us. For what we paid, that wasn't okay. We wouldn't stay again.
