Pod Room O'Farrell St Union Square

I had a great stay, and the pod gave me good privacy. The bed was comfortable, and there was enough room to get dressed inside. The only snag was the locker outside my pod kept resetting its lock, so I had to call the front desk to get my things.

The bed was fairly comfortable for my first pod stay, but the pillow was tiny. There are fans in the pods, though without AC in the room I can see it getting hot and stuffy. Also, for some reason, our room or bathroom had no trash can, and there was a weird sewage smell by the sink.

It’s only a few minutes from Powell BART station, and there’s a sink right in the room for brushing your teeth or washing your hands. They provide towels and body and hair shampoo, too. The pod, toilet, and shower areas were all very clean. The pods do move a bit, though, so you can feel people shifting around above or below you.

I was moving and stayed for a week. The pod was tidy and comfortable, and the central location put shops nearby. Having a kitchen to cook in, plus a hotel washing machine and dryer, helped with the usual travel costs. There was also a safe for my wallet and phone. It was just what I needed.
