The Battery feels thoughtful in the way it brings people through the space. The details seem chosen for more than appearance, with an eye on how guests actually move around and enjoy being there. We’ve been around plenty of places that promise a particular experience without delivering. Here, it comes through quietly and confidently. Service is consistent and well judged, attentive without hovering and polished without feeling stiff. As a business that cares as much about experience as product, we notice that kind of execution. The food and drink program fits the setting too. It feels considered, balanced, and dependable, adding to the atmosphere rather than competing with it. You can eat there, but the space also seems made for connection, conversation, and a certain pace of life. Places like The Battery take vision and discipline, along with a clear sense of what their clientele values. From our point of view, it sets a standard worth recognizing for others in the same ecosystem.

The club itself is a beautiful space, but I’m only talking about the dinner I had. For over $60, I got a small piece of lasagna, one scoop of chocolate ice cream, and three dry slices of bread. The lasagna was too salty and had almost no meat. Lasagna isn’t hard to make, so the kitchen should try some different recipes, and serve bread that hasn’t been left out until it’s dry as a desert.

My husband had a banker meeting at the Battery club on Nov 3, around 4:45 pm. When he came in, the hostess was rude and dismissive, saying, “This is a private club.” He explained that he knew and was there for a meeting, but she told me to wait in the lobby. After being treated that way as a member’s guest, we won’t be joining. Do better.
