The Jay, Autograph Collection

After checkout, I got to SFO and realized I'd left something valuable in the in-room safe. Concierge Marques replied right away, coordinated with housekeeping, and arranged to have it delivered to my Uber driver with clear instructions. His calm, professional help got it to me in time for my flight, and I'm truly grateful. I also had a great stay at The Jay Hotel: a wonderful location, stylish décor, and a room that was more spacious than I expected.

The bar was full, which I loved. It felt like locals were hanging out alongside hotel guests, and we had a drink there after finding a great restaurant a short walk away. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and the room was comfortable, with furniture, layout, and views I enjoyed. As a tea lover, I was delighted by the Fellow tea pot. I've stayed at several Autograph Collection hotels over the years and enjoyed them; The Jay was no different.

My wife and I felt valued throughout our stay at The Jay, Autograph Collection, and we're looking forward to returning. The team went above and beyond to make it special, with warmth, professionalism, and care in every interaction. The rooms were beautifully designed, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The hotel's atmosphere found a great balance between sophistication and ease. A special thank you to Michael, the GM, and the whole leadership team. The high standard clearly starts at the top and carries through the staff. It was one of the most thoughtful, well-executed hotel experiences we've had.

The rooms are huge and feel five-star, and the Third Floor lounge was exceptional, with a fantastic happy hour. The hotel is in the northeastern part of San Fran, closer to the wharf and tourist spots than what I'd call the heart of the city. Still, it's a great place. The gym was closed for refurbishment, which would've been useful to know before I arrived. The shower looked nice but had less pressure than a hose spigot, and the valet gets overwhelmed quickly at rush hour. When I left early in the morning, there was nobody around except the valet. For top-notch prices, I expect 24x7 accommodations.
