I’ve lived here for over a year now, so I have a better sense of the place. The building is clean and comfortable, and I haven’t noticed any pests. It’s generally quiet. The elevator is tiny and breaks down now and then, but that’s understandable in a building over 100 years old. I’m disappointed with the staff in charge of the property. I understand that since physical restrictions keep me in my room most of the time, people may jump to conclusions. But I’m a good person dealing with something that’s taking away my independence, and it’s a miracle I’m still alive. Management recently changed, and I hope things get better.

There are some good restaurants nearby, and the rooms are small, but the building is secured very well late at night. During my summer stay, there were a lot of homeless people outside, and I wouldn’t recommend walking around the neighborhood late at night. It can also be noisy in the middle of the day. I’d definitely share a room with someone you know.

For stays of at least seven nights, this is a clean, convenient, good-value option, especially for students. It’s basic, but there’s a 24-hour desk. Some single-occupancy rooms have a double bed, fridge, microwave, sink, and private bathroom. It’s no Hilton, which is just a block away, but it works well for longer stays.

I stayed here for a year. The hostel is clean and excellent, and the housekeepers are trustworthy. The WiFi is the one problem, since it doesn’t work well throughout the building. Some rooms are better than others, which is normal in any building except the really top ones. Nawaf Saudi Arabia
