Washington Square Apartment

The place had a cool, very European feel, like a hostel that’s been beautifully decorated and outfitted. We’d come back. Our room was simple but had what we needed for one night: a king bed, an ensuite bathroom with a shower and tub, and clean bedding. The furniture was cute, though I would’ve liked a folding luggage rack. The 24/7 coffee, tea, and water refill station was a lovely extra. I liked being able to use the digital room key and front door code without waiting around or talking to anyone. When I texted with questions about the shower and later checkout, I got friendly replies straight away. The location is fantastic.

It was affordable and convenient, and I’d recommend it and stay again. Having the key on my phone was especially handy, and there’s plenty to do nearby. We had trouble finding parking because an event was happening close by, but once it was over the next day, there were lots of spaces. A friend had recommended the hotel to us.

I liked this cute, charming place and will stay again. My room was tiny, but the bed was a good size, and that was plenty for one night. Original Joe's and other places to eat are just down the street. Everything runs through QR codes and an app, so I wasn't sure about the lack of a concierge. I called, though, and they talked me through it. It was fine. Highly recommend.

Such a shame, because the place is quaint and fun to visit. There was no breakfast, despite it being advertised. With no staff around, a group of young professionals on our floor kept us up with loud conversations and what sounded like sex negotiations, almost like being in a dorm. I wouldn't bring kids here. People were also active around Washington Square all night. We heard language and some violence right below our window.
