The Sunrise Motel

It’s a basic motel, so keep expectations modest, but the location is excellent and we felt safe. The pool is small, and there’s a grill guests can use. Our room had a small fridge and microwave, and the queen bed was comfortable with clean sheets. It’s just a block from the boardwalk and beside several restaurants. Our main annoyances were having no coffee maker in the room and no coffee from the motel. The only option was the convenience store across the street, where a large, weak black coffee cost $4, which felt like a rip-off. There were also no bedside tables, so our phones, glasses, and water had to go on the floor.

The kitchenette was a big reason we chose the Sunrise Motel, and the room was worth it. We’d never stayed at a motel or hotel with a stovetop option before. From check-in, Sid at the desk was friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. The management team made us feel like family, and the whole staff was accommodating. The place is the cleanest motel we’ve stayed at down the shore, out of a lot of different places. The room and location were perfect. We’ll make this our regular spot. Thank you!

We came for a dance event and needed somewhere with a kitchen, so this was just right. The staff were lovely, and even the other guests were friendly. Housekeeping came each day to take out the trash, make the beds, and bring fresh towels. A great place.

We stayed July 21-23, and had the best time. The front desk staff were so welcoming and kind. With two little ones walking back and forth, being about a block from the boardwalk and beach was really convenient. I also loved having a stove and oven, a mini fridge, and a microwave. We’ll definitely stay here again next year!
