The WiFi worked quickly and the signal was decent. The room itself was roomy and reasonably clean for what it cost, though the bathroom could have used more attention. The air conditioning and most of the other tech felt pretty dated. Staff at the desk weren't warm, but they did help when I needed something. Breakfast was very limited, just cereal, boiled eggs and bread, and it was only available for a short time in a spot right beside check-in. A solid deal for the price, as long as you keep expectations modest.

The shuttle drivers made the stay for me. They were possibly the friendliest guys this side of the Mississippi, especially Alejandro, who chatted with me about Cuba and his family. Keep shining, my dude. The room had some unidentifiable marks on the floor and I wouldn't have wanted to walk around without shoes, though there were no bed bugs. Still, the bed was made and the water got hot. You get what you pay for, and I'd recommend it 10/10.

There’s a big stick mounted on the wall as you leave the elevator. No idea why, but it made me laugh, so I hope they leave it there. It’s definitely memorable, if nothing else. The room was clean, comfortable and fine for a budget place. At check-in, though, the price was higher than the one in my reservation email. The clerk said I’d booked through the old Jet Motel website they don’t use anymore, and got snippy about it. That explanation seemed odd, since they’d received my reservation. Fortunately I had a printed copy of the email, and she honored the listed rate. If a website is no longer in use, they should take it down, especially if Google sends people there.

The place is dated, but it did the job for us. Our room was clean, the shower and TV worked, it was quiet, and we had plenty of pillows. Breakfast was average. We’re all in college and were looking to save money, so the lower quality was a trade-off we expected. I’d stayed in worse, and this was better than I’d pictured going in, so I gave it 4/5. It seemed like a better budget option than the Crest Motor Inn, which looked creepy and run-down when I walked by.

The staff were nice, but my room didn't match the reviews saying the place was old yet clean and maintained. It smelled like mold and marijuana. The blankets felt really rough, and the pillows were too small.
