The location worked well for getting around, with nearby roads, restaurants, and other essentials easy to reach. Parking was straightforward too. We especially appreciated the quiet, relaxing room during a family trip. It was clean, roomy, well organized, and the bedding was cozy enough for a good night’s sleep. The common areas were kept up well, and housekeeping clearly stayed on top of things. From arrival on, the staff were welcoming and professional. Check-in went quickly after our long drive, and whenever we needed help or had a question, someone responded promptly and kindly. We had a very pleasant stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Sheridan, and would happily come back. It gave us the comfort, cleanliness, and service we wanted for our vacation.

I woke up after one night with two bites that looked unmistakably like bed bug bites. I’ve dealt with a full infestation before, back in 2012, and know the big, swollen, intensely itchy welts and allergic reaction. One bite left my right thumb so swollen it looked like a sausage, and I still couldn’t bend it properly. The other was on the back of my thigh. I called the front desk and got the usual denial that they had bed bugs, with the suggestion it must’ve been something else. Now I’m halfway through a road trip, keeping my luggage outside in trash bags until I can use the dryers at my condo complex and hoping I don’t miss one. Just two bites were enough to turn a quick overnight stop into a huge anxiety mess. I wouldn’t stay again, and I’d warn my friends. 1/23/2026 update: My thumb swelled so badly that the bite got infected, and I ended up in the ER on antibiotics and steroids. What a great experience, the gift that keeps giving.

There’s a seasonal box elder bug issue in early October, and apparently the whole Sheridan area gets it. There’s a notice at the check-in counter, and staff will vacuum them up if you let them know. Aside from that, it’s a quiet, pleasant place to spend the night on a long drive, and we were treated well. The hotel sits on a windswept hill just off a quick exit from 90. The driveway and lot make getting in and out easy, with some control over traffic, and even when it’s moderately busy the parking doesn’t get cluttered like at some other hotels. Breakfast has lots of choices, but for any other meal you’ll need to make a short drive into Sheridan.

We were there for four nights and found it a good value in a great location. The staff were lovely, especially the night clerk, who cheerfully helped me with little requests several times. Breakfast was enjoyable, though the menu stayed the same each day. There were small flavor changes in the waffles, muffins, and yogurt, plus sausage links, scrambled eggs, three juices, milk, coffee, cold cereal, and instant oatmeal. My one issue was Room 307’s window. An outside light shone in, and the blackout curtains wouldn’t close together. I couldn’t move one side at all. The bathroom door also wouldn’t shut.

I’ve never been treated so badly at a hotel. The pool was crowded and there were no towels left, so we asked for more and got a very rude “no.” We then asked about milk and even offered to buy some, but the staff member said they had none. That’s strange when cereal is served in the morning. The staff were so unfriendly.
