The rooms, people, and place were lovely, but breakfast was such a letdown. We got cold cereal, very plain scrambled eggs, paper-thin French toast, and a fruit bowl that was half rotten. We'd heard them making a shopping list and talking about bacon and Eggs Benedict, so it was disappointing that there was no bacon, toast, potatoes, or anything like that. This was my first bed and breakfast stay, and the breakfast was terrible. We had to go out to eat after checking out, which shouldn't have happened. The highlight was the dog taking our napkin from the table and carrying it to the washing machine.

Please be careful about staying here. The property is in disrepair, and the owners don't seem concerned about guest safety. I fell on the outside boardwalk in September 2024 and shattered my ankle. They charged me the full rate and didn't provide breakfast. We're still considering suing them. The place isn't ADA compatible either, so choose somewhere else if safety matters to you.

In September 2024, I fell on an open section of the boardwalk outside my room and shattered my ankle in four places. Emergency services had to take me to the hospital. There should have been an orange cone or some other warning, and the cleaning staff told us that morning they already knew about the spot. The owner still charged me for the full night, and we never got breakfast. The customer service was awful. I'll never stay here again.

Stephanie made us feel at home during our amazing Labor Day weekend at the McCaffrey House B&B. She offered helpful suggestions, and the view from the evergreen room was breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved breakfast. We wish we'd tried dinner from Chef Josh too, it smelled fabulous. Thanks again, we'll be back!

Stephanie was a huge help with reservations, communication, and finding nearby hiking spots for me and my boyfriend. The location made for a perfect relaxing getaway, with a truly amazing view, a comfortable bed, and delicious breakfast. Their sweet pups greeted us when we arrived and helped make the whole stay feel cozy and homey. I'd definitely recommend this place for a retreat, and it'll stay at the top of my list for a mountain vacation.
