Super 8 Sioux Falls

The front desk woman was pretty nice and got us into a room a little early, since they said it was ready. But it smelled bad, like animals, so we opened the window and sprayed perfume. Then we noticed rabbit droppings all over. Staff came back and cleaned, but there were still droppings under the nightstand and sink. We asked to move rooms and were denied.

The beds were comfy, the room was clean, and the lighting was good. Staff were friendly to my furry family, and the food and drinks were delicious. The room had no coffee maker, and there wasn't anywhere for my fur babies to potty. Paint and sheetrock above the shower were peeling, and the smell made it seem like there'd once been a pest problem. There was also a couple fighting in the parking lot when we arrived. Still, it was worth the price.

I only needed a place to sleep for about six hours while passing through, but wouldn't recommend this hotel. The rooms are old and need renovation, the mattress had stains, parking is limited, and the small pool needs work too. The online price was $56 a night, but when I called it was $67. We got disconnected, and booking at the front desk ended up costing $101. That felt like false advertising.

My room was immaculately clean, and the staff member who welcomed me, ABBY, was warm and upbeat. She explained the motel and its benefits, and showed a level of professionalism I rarely encounter. Her supervisor should recognize how well she represents the company. I'll look for a Super 8 wherever I go and hope for the same treatment.
