I liked the motel feel, only nicer, and the room was cozy with a nice bathroom. It wasn’t anything special otherwise. The perks were great: two free drinks at the bar and two free breakfasts at the place next door. It’s close to anywhere you’d want to walk downtown. A sweet little spot and a great experience.

I was surprised by the $10 nightly entertainment fee, and would rather see it included in the booking price. That’s why I’m giving four stars. Otherwise, this is a great hotel: the #7 bus to and from the airport is very convenient, and downtown spots like the performing arts center and the falls are close by. Breakfast at Rosie's was a nice amenity, and the front desk staff were friendly.

The rooms were really clean, and I liked the bathrooms. The space was used well without losing that homey feel. I came to Spokane with a friend for a concert at Knitting Factory, which I’d recommend, and Hotel Ruby worked out well for our stay. Parking was frustrating. The lot is tiny, maybe fifteen cars, and before we knew there was another gated lot a block or two away, we had to find somewhere else to park. The signs said the hotel lot was full and there was absolutely no parking for check-in. We ended up paying for parking twice, once at an unrelated lot before check-in and again after we learned about the other lot. I’ll admit I hadn’t checked beforehand for alternative parking, but it might help to advertise the second lot before guests arrive.

The bed was firmer than I usually like, but not too firm, and I appreciated the pillows: two soft ones and one firm one. Rooms are small, but have what you need. Breakfast at the restaurant next door and drinks at the bar are nice extras.
