The Davenport Grand, Autograph Collection

Our room at the Davenport Grand Hotel was spotless and really spacious, with good quality toiletries that added a nice touch. The building is impressive and beautifully designed, and from arrival the whole stay felt upscale. Everyone we met was warm and professional. The valet team made getting in and out easy, and the front desk receptionist was welcoming and made check-in simple. We had a fantastic time in Spokane, and the hotel went beyond what we expected. Highly recommend it for comfort, style, and great service.

The Blackened Salmon Caesar is excellent, and the property has a lot of good food choices. The rooms are beautiful too, with huge mirrors, great showers, and views that stretch a long way. Service is fantastic, and the place is so massive you could get lost in it. For the Spokane region, this is easily the best hotel choice. If you’re in town, I can’t see a reason to settle for one of the sketchier options or choose somewhere just for convenience.

In this cold weather, the red-themed hotel almost feels tropical. The staff are good and the location made the stay more comfortable. My room was huge, with an energetic, cheerful design, and I liked that even housekeeping is automated. I do wish the pillows and dining options were better.

We picked the Grand because we had an event downtown and thought it would be an easy place to stay afterward. That was a mistake. The sheets had clearly been used by someone who bled on them, then washed and put back on the bed. For a room that cost about $400 for one night, that was disgusting and unacceptable. Sleep was awful too. A very bright light right over the bed kept flashing all night and wouldn’t turn off. I took a video and attached a still frame because videos aren’t allowed here. This wasn’t some faint glow, it was right above where your head goes. Stained sheets should go in the garbage, not back on a bed. When we told the staff, they agreed the light was awful and the sheets were disgusting, then offered just $25 off. That doesn’t make up for a bed I couldn’t use and a night I barely slept through. I recommend hotels around Spokane for work, visitors, and residents, but I won’t recommend the Grand again. I’m disgusted and disappointed with the whole place.
