The staff I dealt with personally, Kristen, Amanda and Eden, were amazing. They made me feel welcome and helped make my stay easier, and I’m grateful to them. As for the room, the kitchen isn’t fully equipped, so bring what you need to cook and eat with. There’s no oven, and I never saw the advertised free breakfast either. Clean bedding and towels are only provided every two weeks unless you pay extra, which I think is gross. The on-site guest laundry costs money, and I was told heavier items don’t always dry completely, so you’re better off using a laundromat.

I knew this was a cheap hotel and didn’t expect luxury, but I did expect a clean room. Instead, the floors were filthy, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months. I wiped them with a washcloth and have a video showing the dirt, though I can’t upload it. The entry and hallway smelled like a nursing home, with an odor of soiled linens and body odor. There was rust on the shower rod, and it looked like no one had cleaned around the toilet base in a while. The tub had one bar of body soap, but there was no shampoo, body wash, conditioner, or hand soap at the sink. One quilt had blood stains, the pillows were completely flat, and the bed was hard as a rock. After 5, no one was available at the front desk when we came and went. When we left at 7 this morning, the entire front area was closed off, so there was nobody to tell about the room.

Two people stand out for how kind and helpful they’ve been: Miss Kiersten and Mr. Troy. Miss Kiersten goes above and beyond for guests. I haven’t met a housekeeper who’s been as helpful in the office, the rooms, or anywhere else on the property. Mr. Troy is in the office from morning until afternoon, and he’s helped me with keys and payments. They’re both friendly, polite, and a pleasure to talk with. This is the best hotel I’ve been to in town. Thank you both for your service and help.

Eden has been a wonderful help, working hard and going above and beyond to make sure I get what I need. She’s smart, makes you feel at home, and welcomes you as part of the place. We need more people like her on the team. Thanks for making my extended stay feel welcoming. I’d rate this place 10/10. The Extended Stay America on West Kingsley Street Kansas expressway is the best spot to be.

I never felt safe here. Other guests threatened us while we were staying, and the kitchen wasn’t really a full kitchen. It had no pots, pans, dishes, or cutlery, the microwave turntable didn’t work, and frozen meals wouldn’t cook properly. There doesn’t seem to be real management. The cleaning staff appear to run things, the front desk closes overnight, and there’s no 24-hour assistance. My wife tried to help a young woman with a black eye who said her boyfriend had punched her. She wasn’t allowed to check in until 3pm, so my wife brought her to our room to wait. It turned out she had stolen a staff member’s phone. Staff followed them to our room, yelling and cursing. We immediately distanced ourselves from the woman because we hadn’t known what she’d done. The police came and sorted things out, but staff immediately kicked us out with nowhere to go, even though we’d only been trying to help someone in need.
