Sleep Inn Springfield South I60 near Medical District

I slept well, which was the main reason I was there. The room is small for $200, though it was fine for me traveling alone. It would’ve been a problem with another person or my family. The shower and facilities were clean and worked well. The beds were clean and surprisingly comfortable, even though the linens felt cheap and I wasn’t expecting much.

The front desk ladies were fantastic and tried to help, but there was no manager there when we asked to speak with him. I left my number so he could call about our refund request, but he never did. We stayed an hour, returned the keys, and went to the nearby Comfort Inn instead, which I highly recommend. The room was okay, but the water wouldn’t get hot when I washed my hands, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and its lid was broken. There was only a small fridge, no microwave, and a small TV. The pool was freezing and dirty, and the jacuzzi was also dirty and had maybe a 20% chance of working. Unless you only need a room for one night and get a good deal, don’t bother. There are much better options.

Breakfast was a real highlight, especially the coffee, which was the best. There was more to eat than I expected. The room felt roomy, clean, and comfortable, and check-in was pleasant. Everyone was friendly, and the lobby was tidy and welcoming. Highly recommend.

We left disappointed, and we won't be coming back. After my son swallowed pool water and got sick, the hotel charged us $250 because the pool had to close an hour early. It happened at 9 p.m., though the pool was meant to stay open until 10. Then our son ended up in the ER, so we decided to cut the trip short. When we asked about leaving early, the front desk woman said she couldn't do it and to come back in the morning. My husband did, and she said there'd be a $15 fee. We agreed and packed everything, but when we checked out, the same woman said her manager wouldn't allow it. He wasn't there, so she said she'd message him and wait for a call. We sat in the lobby for an hour, but he never called. Customer service was awful. The toilet in our room was gross, and the breakfast biscuits were served in a crock pot.
