After we left the room for the day, we came back to find it hadn't been cleaned and the bed hadn't been given fresh sheets. When my boyfriend asked, they said guests have to request new sheets. They gave us some and had us strip and remake the bed ourselves. The water also took so long to get warm that I thought there was no hot water during my first shower. Help was hard to get because no one seemed to be at the front desk. The office blinds were torn and hanging loose, giving the impression that someone watched guests without coming out. A man at the desk did help with printing, though the printer wouldn't work directly. He asked me to email him a document and printed it for us. We picked the place for its pool, but it was closed for construction when we arrived, which was understandable. The room had a broken deadbolt and a picture frame with more than half its glass broken. We weren't sure whether they'd cleaned up the glass before leaving the picture there. Breakfast was poor: cold biscuits and gravy, watery juice and coffee, and old food stains and splatters on the wall around the trash can. There was a hole where the breakfast room ceiling and wall met, and the cereal dispensers were empty until I asked for them to be refilled.

The room itself was completely remodeled, including the restroom, flooring, and shower. The sheets were clean, there was hot and cold water as needed, and the employees and owners were welcoming. There's a refundable $100 deposit when booking. The location is horrible if you're traveling alone and concerned about safety. The hotel is tucked behind a strip of stores, with poor lighting, potholes in the parking lot, and inconvenient entry and exit points. The lobby doors stay open overnight. There's no breakfast, water, or coffee. I wouldn't stay here with family or kids, and I wouldn't recommend it for safety. For comfort, cleanliness, and a good night's rest, yes. I've been a Choice Hotels member for years, and this was a last-minute booking I found online.

We lasted about 30 minutes before deciding to leave because the place was so filthy. The rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, there was hair on the beds and dirty carpet, and some windows were boarded up. The outdoor AC units were in disrepair and the air quality was terrible. I wouldn't recommend staying here. We asked for a refund, but Expedia didn't honor it through our third-party booking, since they rely on the hotel to make that decision. I won't make that mistake again. There are far too many better options nearby.

We drove from Colorado and arrived at 11:00 p.m. to attend my daughter's funeral. I was on a tight budget, and chose this motel because it advertised a buffet breakfast and a pool to help keep my four-year-old granddaughter occupied. We were already $400 in for three nights, and couldn't afford another hotel while waiting for a refund to come back into the account. So we stayed, even though we would have left otherwise. The breakfast was inedible. On day two, when breakfast had just opened, the kitchen floor was sticky and covered in food, with mess on every surface and wall. There were dead bugs everywhere, the food was cold, and the waffle maker looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The pool was freezing and unusable, full of green algae and piles of dead bugs, with Band-Aids all around it. When I complained, they shut the doors and kept people away from the pool. The whole property was filthy. The beds were dirty, and the room walls were covered with food and other stuff, so we had to wipe them down with sanitizing wipes just to stay there. This was by far the worst motel I've ever stayed in. Please understand, this isn't the place to stay.

I rarely write bad reviews since I give a lot of places five stars, but this one is different. I brought my children, including one with ASD. Before booking, I called to make sure the advertised hot breakfast would be available. In the morning, I woke the kids and found the lights off, the door locked, and no sign of breakfast or anyone around. On the phone they told me the food hadn't been delivered yet. Later my wife called to complain and ask about a discount, and was told it was complimentary breakfast and tough luck, they wouldn't do anything. That upset the kids and me enough that I didn't write out everything I thought of the place. The two-night booking turned into one night. The pool was dirty and didn't look fit for swimming or even dipping your legs in. The hallways were stained, and the whole place smelled of weed and dirty pets. My son woke with a stuffy nose and burning throat. The freezer was so clogged with ice that nothing would fit inside, probably because it hadn't been defrosted in years. I should have guessed something was off when there were slot machines in the lobby. I'd rather sleep in the car than stay here again, and wish I'd paid a few more dollars to take the kids somewhere decent.
