TownePlace Suites by Marriott Stafford Sugar Land

Nicole made planning our family celebration so easy. We needed a clean, modern hotel with a group rate and a meeting room, and after contacting several places, she got back to us quickly, answered promptly, and made sure our requests were covered. Michael showed us around on an earlier visit, and Sunita made check-in quick, friendly, and organized, getting our guests into their rooms promptly. A big thank you to Michael, Sunita, and Tammy at the front desk, and especially to Nicole. Her responsiveness and help made the event possible. The spacious conference room was nicely set up and had a large storage room for extra tables and chairs. Some of its room-darkening shades were missing, though, which made the projector hard to see on a sunny day. Our guests enjoyed the wide breakfast selection, though I didn't get to try it myself. The rooms were clean, roomy, and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and a great shower. They could use more lighting, especially around the dark bedside area and on the desk. The amenities were fantastic: our kids loved the pool, fitness center, basketball court, and pickleball court, and you can rent equipment at the front desk. We had a wonderful experience and would consider it for another event. I'd recommend it to friends and family visiting Houston.

The hotel is gorgeous, spotless, brand new, smells great, and is in a good, quiet location. The staff were cool, and the full kitchen was a plus, though mine had a stovetop but no oven. I couldn't get the stovetop to work even after asking the front desk for help. Daytime customer service was poor. The room itself could have been better thought out. Thin fabric over the window let in too much light, and there was no tub. The shower had no full door, which felt odd. The sheets weren't breathable, so I ended up sleeping with just a sheet. The AC was very loud and kept cycling on and off, disrupting sleep. Since it was in the 30s outside, I finally turned it off.

A solid 4.5/5, with a moderate-sized room laid out pretty well. The place opened in 2025 and still had that new smell. The decor and design felt modern, the rooms were very clean, and the experience was unbeatable for a reasonable price. Breakfast is complimentary. If you need a nearby room, come while it's still new. Just know the EV charging is kind of pricey.

The staff were courteous and professional, and breakfast stood out for its healthy choices, including plant-based sausage. I also liked the basketball court, quiet atmosphere, and well-equipped fitness center. The beautiful property and rooms were exceptionally clean, the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, and the lobby even smelled nice. The location worked perfectly while I was visiting a friend in Sugar Land. The music was sometimes a little too loud, but otherwise I was thoroughly impressed. I'd highly recommend it and plan to stay here if I visit Houston again.
