For somewhere to lay my extremely drunk self, it was worth every penny. It was much better than I expected from the second-cheapest hotel in town, and I can tell you the cheapest is MUCH MUCH WORSE! It's a place to sleep, nothing special, though it's not terrible. The bed is super comfortable. The breakfast is sub par, and the bathroom looks rough and works like it's 20+ years old, though it's as clean as it can be.

Almost $60 for a filthy room just isn't worth it. There was blood and somebody else's hair in the shower, makeup on the comforter, little black hairs, and the sheets looked like they hadn't been changed for days. The air conditioning barely worked. No one was ever at the front desk, so you had to call the number to get someone to come help. When I left, I told the girl who works there the room was filthy and asked for my money back. She said they don't do refunds. Don't waste your money.

I know running a business can be hard, and honestly I don't have complaints about management. But after the billing issue, our room problems were one thing after another, ending with a bedbug. While we were lounging on the bed between activities on the second day, I spotted it. We shook out all our things and had them packed in under half an hour. At check-in, the hotel couldn't find our reservation through Expedia. That happens, and it took about 20 minutes on the phone with Expedia to sort it out before we got to our room for two nights. Then we couldn't open the door, even though the key worked and the lock light was green. My SO went to the desk and was taught this trick: insert the key, push down the handle, lift the door, then push it open. The room looked all right at first, but felt stuffy, and the AC wouldn't turn on. After a long drive, I badly needed the bathroom, where I found a crusty substance on the toilet seat. Diarrhea? Vomit? Who knows. There was also dirt and hair on the bathroom floor, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned. When I pulled the blankets back on the king bed, the sheets had hair, dirt, bits of leaves, and stains. Nope. My SO got us switched to another room. It was fine, but had two double beds instead of the arrangement we wanted. The AC worked only if we left the dials alone, and the only setting was a full-on arctic blast. We gave up and turned it off after our morning showers, so the room was stuffy in the afternoon.

The second room was still pretty bad, with old food in the fridge and plenty of other yuck, as you can see. They told us it was normally a $300-a-night room, even though the sign outside said $199 a week and we paid $186 for three nights. Our first room had roaches, a clogged bathtub, and lights that didn't work. They gave us all kinds of excuses for the bugs. A woman in the next room seemed clearly drugged and asked if someone was being murdered outside, just because my granddaughter yelled for her sister. Disgusting and disturbing. We'll never stay here again.
