Avid Summerville

The front desk employee, who I think was Tamnesha, was really nice and helpful. She found us another room after the accessible room we were told was ready turned out to have dirty towels on the floor, an unmade bed, and poop in the toilet. We checked in around 2 pm on Feb 27 and understood that our first room wasn’t ready yet, but whoever marked it ready got it badly wrong. The replacement room was okay, though the rooms are on the small side. We might think twice before coming back, but the kind service from the front desk is a reason we might.

The rooms are comfortable and decent, and the pet fee is reasonable. Breakfast really needs work: the potatoes were undercooked, the eggs rubbery, and everything had very little taste. I eat hotel breakfasts often and don’t expect perfection, but this one needs a serious revamp.

I keep coming back whenever I’m in Summerville, SC. The location works well for me, and the staff are so nice and helpful. The whole hotel is spotless, the rooms are comfortable, and there are plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The new hot breakfast is a welcome addition.

The front desk team was fantastic, and the hotel itself feels clean and modern. Our room was nice, with a walk-in shower and a big-screen TV, and the price seemed fair. Storage is limited, though: there are cubbies instead of drawers, no closet, and just an area with four hangers and some hooks. We’d still definitely come back.
