Little touches show how much care goes into this place. They even folded the ends of the toilet paper, and the service goes well beyond what you'd expect from a basic room. I absolutely love it here and will 100% come back. If someone thinks it's just a basic room, their standards must be super high, and they should stay home.

You can walk to the beach, Pirate Cove, and a Mexican restaurant in just a few minutes, and the shuttle stop is right by the motel. The shuttle is free during the Cherry Festival. Rich, the Manager/Owner, is onsite and responsive to requests. They were a bit short staffed, but the service was still great. The rooms are modernized and well maintained, and the His&Her shower is a nice bonus.

Rich, the owner, was very nice and shared a few funny jokes with us during our weekend stay. The rooms were clean and the motel was quiet, a relaxing place to stay and close to plenty to do. There's a Mexican restaurant right next door, along with a market selling good precooked meats, meat ready for the grill, liquor, and quick foods. A very nice miniature golf course is nearby too.

The room was spotless from ceiling to floor, the new bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom felt like a welcome retreat after a long, hot day. I felt right at home and had no problems during my stay. The owner clearly takes pride in keeping the rooms clean and the place problem-free. This little motel was a pleasant surprise for someone like me who looks for the best. I appreciated its all-American charm and the owner's genuine care for guests, Michigan residents, and the community. Whether you're on a family trip or just passing through, rest wood is a top-notch, comfortable and welcoming choice. I can't recommend this high-end motel enough.

Rich, the owner, was kind and helpful, and the room had good air conditioning, a clean feel, and a very comfortable bed. My boyfriend and I spent three nights here and had a very pleasant stay. I have nothing negative to say. We'll definitely come back on our next road trip to Traverse City, and I'd recommend staying here.
