The room was so nice that it outweighed the few shortcomings. We had two separate bedrooms, which gave us welcome privacy after four days of traveling with three generations. There was a kitchenette stocked with the pans and other things you might need, plus a working fireplace. Housekeeping missed a toy under the couch, Cheerios under the table, and quite a bit of dust. The continental breakfast was okay, not five-star. Still, we’ll try to find another Residence Inn when we travel from now on.

The convenient location made it easy to reach shopping, restaurants, and major roads, and the staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help. Residence Inn by Marriott Dayton Troy felt clean, modern, and well cared for from arrival through checkout. The spacious rooms are thoughtfully laid out, with comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchens that make longer stays easier. Everything was spotless and organized, giving the place a home-away-from-home feel. It’s a comfortable, relaxing choice.

4/10
It’s quiet and in a convenient spot, but the room wasn’t clean. Dust was visible on almost every surface, one dresser had a detached back with tacks or nails sticking out, and the chair in the living area was unbelievably gross. I told the front desk and got only “sorry you had to deal with that.” I stayed away from the chair and hope they replace it before the next guest. I forgot to photograph the bathroom floor, but there’s a huge crack from the door to the bathtub. I hope it isn’t a structural problem. The beds weren’t comfortable either.

I was here for a couple of weeks on a work trip, and the stay went really well. The room had what I needed for a longer visit and was kept clean and in good shape. Staff were professional and ready to help, and breakfast was a decent start to the day. I’d happily recommend it for an extended stay.

The kids enjoyed having a good-sized pool to burn off energy after a long drive. We had a spacious, clean room, though the bed was just okay. Breakfast comes with the stay and has a solid continental selection. Restaurants and shops are nearby too. Thanks for having us!
