Extended Stay America Suites - Tulsa - Central

I left and went to the Marriott a few hours later. I’d booked a week ahead after being promised a clean, quiet room, but the fragrance was overwhelming and the rooms were in terrible shape. There were children screaming, dogs barking, and people making a lot of noise. I couldn’t take my mask off in the room because the smell was too strong. The clientele was very low bar, too. They refused to refund my advance purchase and offered a free night instead, as if I’d put myself through that “fresh” hell again. No. I hadn’t read the reviews beforehand. Let this company die off for the betterment of mankind. No, just no.

The first room was fine when I checked in on October 7,23, but then the hot water stopped. The woman at the front desk was nice and moved me to another room, which turned out to be crawling with roaches. They said they had no spray, so I bought two cans at the dollar store and sprayed the whole room. It didn’t help. I checked out and went elsewhere. Too many roaches, I’d never stay there again.

They really leave you alone, which I loved, and the place was pet friendly. It was a surprisingly quiet, inexpensive place for a week, and the room was adequate. Breakfast was missing all week because they kept saying they were waiting for a shipment. I don’t care what they’re waiting on, they didn’t wait for my money, so I don’t see why I should wait on them. Coffee was limited too. Checkout felt wonky, but the nice manager told me to let her know when I was done. It was refreshing to get that kind of patience. I’d go back, probably bringing more food, but I would definitely return.

The front desk lady was nice, at least. The non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes, and it wasn’t clean. The bed looked okay until I got in and found crumbs and trash under the sheets, plus something hard like nail polish on the blanket. The appliances were gross, and there was water already standing in the shower, with more left there while I used it.
