Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Tulsa Central

Daytime sleep would be tough here if you work nights. Highway sounds keep coming through, and you can hear too much between rooms because the soundproofing is poor. It was noisy enough that getting decent rest felt nearly impossible.

The room itself was quiet, clean, and had working TV and fridge. The carpets had just been cleaned when I arrived, and although the bathroom fixtures looked old, everything there was very clean. I stayed briefly and felt the parking lot seemed safe at night. I saw two groups walking dogs. One was in the lobby breakfast area in the morning, and one dog was barking. I hope they were charged a pet fee, since a service animal wouldn’t behave that way. I might look at pricier nearby hotels next time if this place takes pets. The staff were friendly, and I’d stay again, though everything wasn’t perfect. There are lots of hotels around, more choices than I expected. The corner you turn at has a strange adult store, but there’s a great mom-and-pop restaurant across the street with good food and service. Breakfast had waffles and toppings, hot sandwiches, muffins, and two fruit choices. The juice wasn’t chilled, but it was fine. The water was hot, despite what I’d read from others. Maybe the older bathroom was because I got an accessible room.

Service was prompt, and the area was nice, clean, and quiet. I could’ve used help with my luggage, but nobody was around or offered. Finding the hotel at night was a little tricky since it sits far back from the main road among several other hotels.

The property was clean and pleasant, and the Wi-Fi worked without a hitch. I liked having healthy breakfast choices along with the usual things: single-serving oatmeal with quinoa and flax, plus bananas and apples. The oatmeal bar had plenty of toppings and was well looked after. This Fairfield is conveniently located, about three miles from a Walmart and lots of restaurants.
