Matthew has made a real difference during our stay. He’s professional, attentive, clear when he communicates, respectful with guests, and works hard to keep the property running smoothly. The hotel has met our needs well: it’s comfortable, clean, and handy for getting around without a car. Restaurants are a short walk away, and the bus stop across the street has been useful for our family. I haven’t seen roaches, bed bugs, or mold, which has put my mind at ease. Food smells sometimes linger in the hallways, though air fresheners or plug-ins could help. I do wish security were better. With the front door open around the clock, it can feel unsafe, especially early in the morning. Key-card entry would help protect guests. It seemed more of a problem when Matthew wasn’t working. If ownership or upper management sees this, Matthew is a real asset to the property.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here until the property gets major improvements. The room smelled of stale smoke the whole time, and basic things weren’t taken care of: barely any water pressure, no toilet paper, and a TV remote without batteries. The hallways, elevator, and grounds were dirty or poorly maintained too. In the evenings and mornings the front door was locked, and I had to wait 15 minutes for the desk person to come back and buzz me out. Very disappointing for an extended stay hotel.

There was a roach running across the floor as soon as I came in, though otherwise the room was decent. The front light, hallways, and elevator smelled like cigarettes, even though it’s supposed to be a smoke-free hotel, and those areas need cleaning. They also should have disclosed the surprise deposit on top of the room charge.

I’m grateful I had somewhere to rest during my first hotel stay in America, and nothing crazy happened, thankfully. The staff were all great, friendly, and really helpful. Still, the place felt very uncared for. Roaches crawled around the kitchen, the cupboard doors were broken, and there were lots of dirty spots. There was a horrible smell of crack basically everywhere. People were often hanging around the entrance. They weren’t a big problem, but it didn’t always feel nice there at night. The area didn’t seem very good, though I guess that makes sense for the price. If you go, keep an eye on your family.
