Rose City Inn & Suites

It was really hot and smelled like cigarettes, and people yelled all night. Only half the lights worked, the floorboards were broken, and the door had such large gaps that someone could see through the cracks. The website promised free continental breakfast, but they didn’t serve any.

The lock was broken, and they charged far too much for a room this bad. The furniture was old and badly damaged, the walls were stained, and the floor was cracked with duct tape on it. It wasn’t very clean either: the bathtub was rusty, and there was someone’s old earring by the toilet. There was no phone, ice bucket, or conditioner, and no lever for the shower, so I couldn’t shower at all. The whole place smelled horrible, including the hallways and lobby. At the front desk, the staff were on their phones and barely paid attention, even though I was polite and kind. This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed, and I’ve traveled a lot. Don’t stay unless you absolutely have to. Find somewhere better.

Every room is smoking. Mine had two bullet holes in the window and blood on the chair. Staff came into my room without permission.

The rooms are large and clean, the staff are very nice, and the motel feels secure. The location is very good, with everything nearby and within walking distance.
