Hampton Inn & Suites Vero Beach Downtown

The King Suite was huge, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I only booked it because no standard rooms were available. At over $300 a night, I was surprised the bathroom had only bar soap at the sink and in the shower. I prefer liquid soap. My digital key also errored out pretty often, though otherwise I liked the hotel. I moved to this Hampton to be closer to family. The location makes it more expensive, but the property is newer. The lobby has lots of seating, and the fitness center is roomy with good equipment, including TRX and plyo boxes. Breakfast seemed a bit broader than at most Hamptons, though the OJ was broken!

The rooms are bright and new, with great TV and AC, and the staff are incredibly helpful and nice. This is the best Hampton Inn I've stayed at. I'm a Marriott ambassador member, but after this stay I've switched my allegiance to Hilton so I can work toward its new diamond reserved level.

The digital key and registration made things really convenient, and the downtown spot is quiet while still just moments from Rt 1 and the conveniences you need. Our top-floor suite had a balcony and recently updated, modern, spacious areas for eating, sleeping, bathing, and entertaining. It was probably the best Hampton Inn I've stayed in. We're planning to come back in 2026.

The one bright spot was the front desk attendant. Around 7 PM I called for snacks, a soda, and water from the lobby bar. After my complicated back surgery, walking is very difficult, so I offered extra for someone to bring them up. She kindly did, the items came to $9, and I gave her $20 and told her to keep the change. She was so sweet and appreciative. I came to the Hampton Inn last night to escape the loud construction beside my house and get one quiet, restful night. Check-in went smoothly, and I reached my room around 4 PM. The noise defeated the whole reason for coming. The hotel sits by two busy roads, and even on the second floor the traffic was constant, so I had to play white noise on my phone. Then housekeeping woke me around 7:45 or 8 in the morning. The hotel was barely a quarter full and checkout wasn't until noon, but the noise from cleaning was extreme, like a football team. I struggled over to the door and saw just two staff across the hall. I looked at them and closed the door, but they seemed to get louder, laughing and talking loudly. I had planned to sleep until checkout and instead wasted $225. I should have spent the money elsewhere, and with my condition I regret having to drive at all. There was also a floor sign saying “Vending and Ice Machines” with an arrow down the hall. Since walking is hard for me, I made the effort to get there and found an ice machine but no vending machines.
