Budget Inn Wentzville

My friend booked this without checking the reviews first. Nasty barely covers it. There were holes and bugs in the bed, everything was dirty, the AC smelled bad, and the shower head was missing. This place should be closed. Don't stay here.

We were in a desperate spot and thought staying here might work, but the moment we switched on the lights, roaches were all over the room, on the floor, counter, walls, everywhere. It was disgusting, so we left right away. After we complained, they refunded only part of what we paid. We just wanted to get out. Do not stay here.

The two women at the desk were friendly and accommodating, which was the one bright spot. The room was still the worst hotel room I've ever had, even though we travel quite a bit. There were so many cockroaches that we slept with the lights on and moved our belongings to the car because we were afraid of taking them with us. The pillows were thin as magazines and covered in yellow stains; the pillowcases and sheets were stained too. The mattress was zipped into a cover, but when I opened it to check for bed bugs, it was so old it was literally falling apart. The towels were dingy, so I dried off with my shirt. The ceiling lights had no covers, nothing in the room matched, and the faucets, shower head, and fixtures looked like mismatched garage sale finds. The walls were stained with nicotine, and the bent door lock meant you could push the door open. We checked in late, and the place was so atrocious we would have gone somewhere else if we could. I bet it would be shut down if someone inspected it.

We arrived at 2:30 am on 2/6/2026 and waited outside in the cold for ten minutes before anyone came to check us in. I asked for one bed but was given a room with two. The sign advertised free breakfast, though when I called to ask about the time, they said there was no breakfast. There were no cups or ice container in the room, no bath towels, and the refrigerator was absurdly frozen over. We paid $75.00 for one night, and it really wasn't worth it.
