Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tampa North - Wesley Chapel, an IHG Hotel

I could happily give this place more than five stars. Anna, the general manager, is one of the nicest people I’ve met, and Sierra and Octavia make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Their smiles alone make a difference. The whole property is immaculate, and the rooms have everything a guest might need. Every person we met was kind and welcoming. I can’t think of anything that needs improving. I wish the rest of the IHG organization could come here to see how a hotel should be run. It’s the most beautiful IHG location I’ve seen.

My daughter arrived late to her volleyball game because the first front desk agent wouldn’t help us. That experience left such a bad impression that I’m giving the hotel one star. The property itself seemed nice, but the customer service was terrible. We’re from Clearwater, and the tournament in Wesley Chapel ran from 2:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1. We stayed overnight because of the schedule. Around 2:30 p.m., we asked if we could check in half an hour early or at least leave our bags so we could head straight to her first game. The young, short man who helped us had no name tag. He spoke with what sounded like a Hindu or Indian accent and told us, rudely and sarcastically, that absolutely not, we should leave and come back later that night, and our room wouldn’t be given to anyone else. It was 37 degrees, and all we wanted was to drop off our luggage and get going. Instead, we waited in the lobby for 30 minutes while my daughter missed part of the match we’d booked a nearby hotel to attend. He didn’t check whether the room was ready or try to help in any way. At 3:00 p.m., a woman with darker skin and short hair, also without a name tag, helped us. She said she’d seen us waiting and that the room had been ready for quite a while. We could have checked in half an hour earlier without a problem. We weren’t asking to arrive three hours early, just 30 minutes. The first agent’s manner was completely unprofessional, and his refusal to even check on the room made my daughter late.

The room was just what we needed, and everyone was so friendly, especially to my sister. I came with my mom and grandma, and both the front desk and room service were a big help. Breakfast was GREAT, and the staff there were chatty and welcoming too. We had a great stay and I’d come back :)

We always have a good stay here when we visit family, and my husband and I would recommend it. On this visit, Ms. Zee at the front desk made it especially nice. She was kind and friendly, and we enjoyed chatting whenever we came or went. If she could be cloned, the world would be a brighter place.
