We lived at Cascade for two years. The first six months were in an upstairs apartment, then the unit below became available and we paid extra to move downstairs. We wanted to move in quickly, so there wasn’t time for them to replace the carpet first. We later found emails from Cascade acknowledging that the carpet was in poor shape before we moved in. For the last six months or so, odd smells started coming in and my partner and I both felt unwell. The apartment next door apparently had mold. We were told it hadn’t spread into our place and there was nothing to worry about, though there was clearly black mold in our water heater and furnace closet. They had to gut the neighboring apartment, and we listened to blower fans for about two months while they tried to dry it out. We moved out two weeks before the lease ended and were denied our $1,500 deposit because the carpet supposedly needed replacing. They said it had been replaced a year before we moved in, but it already wasn’t in good condition then. When I asked for a receipt or other proof of that replacement, they couldn’t provide any, which seemed suspicious. They were also surprised by how much deposit we’d paid and said they don’t usually charge other tenants that much. The owners didn’t seem honest or to have much integrity.

Maintenance was handled right away whenever we needed it, and we never had an issue that required us to involve a manager. We lived at Cascade at Jordan Creek for three years, and they rented us an apartment in impeccable condition. We couldn’t have had a better experience and think Cascade at Jordan Creek deserves five stars.

We’ve called this place home for two years and plan to stay. It’s tucked away, and most of the neighbors are friendly and quiet, though there are always a few bad eggs anywhere. We’ve had a few problems, and some took longer than we wanted to sort out, but Mallory and Kristi worked with us until they were resolved. We really do love living here and would recommend it for either a short or long stay.

The emergency maintenance line sends you to a call center, and it’s pretty obvious that emergencies aren’t a priority for Cascade. Good luck if you need help urgently.
